The Village of Oriskany will hold a Public Hearing for Local Law #2 of 2021 via Google Meet teleconference at 6:45 p.m. on Tues., Feb. 9, 2020 regarding establishment of a local law to override the tax levy limit established in General Municipal Law 3-c. It is the intent of this local law to allow the Village of Oriskany to adopt a budget for the fiscal year commencing 2021 that requires a real property tax levy in excess of the “tax levy limit” as defined by General Municipal Law 3-c.
At 7:00 p.m., bids for the collection and haul of solid waste and single stream recyclables in the Village of Oriskany will be publicly opened and the total price for collection read “live” during the virtual meeting.
The Board of Trustees will hold their monthly meeting on the same teleconference after the hearing and bids at approximately 7:15 p.m. The public can listen and participate in the hearing, bids, and the meeting from any phone line or online.
